PGfyCrafting excellence together
PGfy was founded by Sai Jagadeesh Chitroju, a student entrepreneur from the International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore. Having lived the challenges of student accommodation and met many PG and hostel operators, he saw the same problem everywhere: accommodation management was still manual and fragmented.
What started as a simple idea to improve the PG experience became PGfy: a platform that helps property owners manage tenants, payments, occupancy and operations digitally, and gives residents a better place to live.

2023

Idea conceived
PGfy idea conceived during the Umang Sports event at IIIT Bangalore.

Initial exploration
Initial market discussions, concept validation, branding exploration and accommodation industry research began.
2024

Field research
Conducted extensive field research across South India by visiting PGs and hostels and talking to owners and tenants.

Startup launch
Incorporated ThinkLogic Tech Solutions Private Limited, officially launching PGfy as a startup.

Incubation
Joined the IIIT Bangalore Innovation Centre and installed PGfy’s first company board at the incubation facility.

Team and prototypes
Built the initial team and started developing the first product prototypes and proof of concept.

1st prize win
Won 1st prize at the Startup Pitchathon hosted by Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Startup Mahakumbh
Represented PGfy at Startup Mahakumbh 2025, India’s largest startup gathering, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

Google Startup Stars
Selected for Google’s Startup Stars programme at Google Bengaluru.

Launched the PGfy platforms for tenants and property owners after completing MVP development.

Reached 100+ properties onboarded and 3,500+ tenant records managed.

Received approval for DigiLocker and Entity Locker single sign-on (SSO) integration.
