PGfy was founded by Sai Jagadeesh Chitroju, a student entrepreneur from the International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore. Having experienced the challenges of student accommodation firsthand and interacted with numerous PG and hostel operators, he identified a common problem: accommodation management remained largely manual and fragmented.
What started as a simple idea to improve the PG experience evolved into PGfy—a platform designed to help property owners manage tenants, payments, occupancy, and operations digitally while providing residents with a better accommodation experience.

Idea Conceived
PGfy idea conceived during the Umang Sports event at IIIT Bangalore.

Initial Exploration
Initial market discussions, concept validation, branding exploration, and accommodation industry research began.

Field Research
Conducted extensive field research across South India by visiting PGs, hostels, and interacting with owners and tenants.

Startup Launch
Incorporated ThinkLogic Tech Solutions Private Limited, officially launching PGfy as a startup.
Nov 2024
Incubation
Joined the IIIT Bangalore Innovation Centre and installed PGfy's first company board at the incubation facility.

Team & Prototypes
Built the initial team and started developing the first product prototypes and PoC.

1st Prize Win
Won 1st Prize at the Startup Pitchathon hosted by Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology.
